Disclaimer & Artwork Usage Terms

Artasstic by Tass custom portraits and illustrations are handmade works of art created from customer-provided reference photos. By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms.

Artistic Interpretation

Each portrait is an artistic interpretation, not a photographic replica. Variations in color, detail, expression, brushwork, and likeness are part of the handmade creative process and are not considered defects.

I do my best to capture the personality, warmth, and character of each subject, but exact likeness is not guaranteed.

Reference Photos

All reference photos submitted must be owned by you or used with proper permission. By submitting a photo, you confirm that you have the legal right to use the photo for a custom artwork commission.

If the reference photo was taken by a professional photographer, studio, breeder, business, or another third party, you are responsible for obtaining permission before submitting it.

Copyright & Ownership

Artasstic by Tass retains the copyright to all original artwork, sketches, designs, images, and completed custom pieces.

Purchasing a custom portrait gives you ownership of the physical artwork only. It does not transfer copyright, reproduction rights, commercial rights, licensing rights, or the right to create copies, prints, products, or derivative works.

Personal Use Only

All custom pet portraits are for personal use only unless otherwise agreed in writing.

You may display the artwork in your home, give it as a personal gift, and share photos of the artwork on your personal social media accounts with credit to Artasstic by Tass.

You may NOT use the artwork for business branding, advertising, logos, merchandise, resale, product packaging, commercial printing, NFTs, AI training, digital products, or any other commercial purpose without written permission and a separate commercial license.

Reproduction & Resale

Customers may NOT scan, copy, reproduce, edit, sell, resell, redistribute, print, or create products from the artwork without written permission from Artasstic by Tass.

This includes, but is not limited to, prints, stickers, mugs, shirts, tote bags, greeting cards, digital downloads, business cards, websites, social media ads, or promotional materials.

Team & Workplace Illustrations

Custom team and workplace illustrations are for personal appreciation, workplace display, or internal gift use only unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Commercial use, advertising use, public marketing campaigns, merchandise, logos, business branding, or reproduction of the artwork requires written permission and may require an additional commercial licensing fee.

Promotional Use by Artasstic by Tass

Artasstic by Tass may use photos, scans, videos, or images of completed artwork for portfolio, website, social media, marketing, and promotional purposes unless otherwise agreed in writing before the order is placed.

If your order is a private memorial gift, surprise gift, or sensitive personal piece, please contact me before ordering to request privacy.

Revisions & Changes

Because each piece is handmade, revisions are limited. Small adjustments may be considered when possible, but major changes, new reference photos, composition changes, or requests outside the original order may require an additional fee.

Final artistic decisions, including color, composition, detail level, and style, remain at the discretion of Artasstic by Tass.

Final Sale

Final Sale Policy

Because custom portraits and custom illustrations are made to order, personalized, and created specifically for each customer, all custom artwork sales are final.

Once the artwork process has begun, cancellations, returns, refunds, or exchanges are not available due to change of mind, personal preference, artistic interpretation, or customer-provided reference-photo issues.

Exceptions may apply only where required by law or under the applicable buyer-protection policy of the marketplace where the order was placed, such as TikTok Shop, Meta, Etsy, or another third-party sales platform.

If an item arrives damaged, defective, incorrect, or not as described, please contact Artasstic by Tass promptly with clear photos of the item, packaging, and order details so the issue can be reviewed.

Color & Display Differences

While I strive to represent artwork colors as accurately as possible, colors may appear slightly different depending on screen settings, lighting, photography, scanning, or print methods.

Processing Time

Custom portraits typically take 4–8 weeks to complete, depending on current order volume. During peak holiday seasons, production and shipping may take longer.

Customers are encouraged to check the announcement bar or updates on the website to confirm whether commissions are currently open before placing an order.

Right to Decline Orders

Artasstic by Tass reserves the right to decline or cancel any order request that may involve copyrighted characters, trademarks, logos, inappropriate content, unclear reference rights, or any request that does not align with the brand or artistic services offered.

Agreement

By purchasing a custom portrait or illustration from Artasstic by Tass, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.

Third-Party Marketplace Orders

Orders placed through third-party platforms, including TikTok Shop, Instagram/Facebook Shop, Etsy, or other marketplaces, may also be subject to that platform’s buyer-protection, cancellation, return, and refund policies.

If there is any conflict between Artasstic by Tass policies and the required policies of the marketplace where the order was placed, the marketplace policy may control for that specific order.
